2. What BeyondCampus Does NOT Do

BeyondCampus expressly does not:

• Own, rent, lease, or manage any property listed on the platform.
• Act as a real estate broker, agent, or intermediary.
• Verify every property listed on the platform.
• Verify property ownership or legal title.
• Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing information.
• Guarantee the availability of any listed property or accommodation.
• Guarantee any specific rental outcome or successful accommodation arrangement.
• Participate in, mediate, or take responsibility for any rental agreements or transactions.
• Process, hold, or manage any payments, deposits, or rent.
• Provide legal, financial, or real estate advice.

3. User Verification Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for independently verifying the following before entering into any agreement or making any payment:

• Property Ownership: Confirm that the listed individual or entity has legal ownership or authorization to rent the property.
• Rental Agreements: Read, understand, and verify all terms and conditions of any rental agreement before signing.
• Deposits & Payments: Verify all deposit amounts, advance payments, and rent figures independently. Never transfer money without proper documentation and verification.
• Rent Amounts: Confirm that the rent amount matches what was advertised and agreed upon in any written agreement.
• Landlord Identity: Verify the identity, credentials, and reputation of the landlord or property owner through independent means.
• Tenant Identity: For landlords, verify the identity and background of potential tenants before entering into any agreement.

All rental transactions, agreements, payments, deposits, and negotiations occur entirely at the discretion and risk of the users involved. BeyondCampus has no involvement in, control over, or liability for any such transactions.

BeyondCampus shall not be held responsible for any financial losses, disputes, property damage, personal injury, or any other consequences arising from interactions or transactions between users of the platform.

5. Roommate Matching & Student Safety Disclaimer

The “Roommates Looking for Roommates” feature is an informational tool intended strictly to assist students in discovering potential room partners. BeyondCampus expressly disclaims all responsibility and liability for:

• No Criminal or Background Checks: BeyondCampus does NOT perform criminal background checks, identity verification beyond user registration details, psychological evaluations, or personal screening of any user listing themselves as a roommate.
• Personal Safety & Interpersonal Disputes: BeyondCampus is not responsible or liable for any personal injury, harassment, assault, theft, property damage, mental distress, or financial disagreement occurring between roommates or flat partners matched through the platform.
• Student Due Diligence Required: Students are solely responsible for conducting their own background inquiries, meeting potential roommates in public places, inspecting accommodations, and agreeing upon written house rules prior to living together.

6. Listing Accuracy

All property listings, service listings, and user profiles on BeyondCampus are created and managed by individual users. BeyondCampus does not independently verify the accuracy of any information provided, including but not limited to:

• Property descriptions and photographs.
• Pricing, availability, and deposit requirements.
• Amenities and facilities.
• Location and distance claims.
• User identity and profile information.
• Mess service menus, pricing, and delivery information.

Nothing on BeyondCampus constitutes legal, financial, real estate, or professional advice. Users should consult with qualified professionals before making decisions related to rental agreements, property transactions, or financial commitments.

8. Safety Advisory for Students & Room Seekers

For your safety while using BeyondCampus and evaluating potential roommates:

• Always meet potential roommates in safe, well-lit, public locations for initial meetings.
• Verify student identity credentials (e.g. college ID card, enrollment proof) independently before finalizing living arrangements.
• Never transfer money, security deposits, or rent to prospective roommates without a written agreement and verified physical inspection.
• Immediately report any suspicious, harassing, or inappropriate behavior to platform administrators and college authorities.
• Keep family members or trusted friends informed regarding property visits and roommate meetings.
